Casa NOM Mexican

110 Greville St, Prahran

The first Mexican restaurant we tried. A cosy little spot just off Chapel Street. Our server was great — friendly and cracking jokes throughout the night. The food was decent. A good night, with some froyo afterwards to top things off.

Meg nearly crashed on the way there. Jack made Meg want to crash on the way back.

Meg still does not like fish, but progress. Maybe.

Not a bad fish taco. It would have been much better, but the bottom was soggy as. Still, probably the best taco of the night, and probably the first fish taco I tried in Melbourne?

Meg likes seafood? No, Meg just likes coconut.

Jack · 6.7/10

It just tasted like coconut. Give me a fried shrimp.

I don't know. Meg didn't hate it, I guess.

Pretty good. Consommé was solid. Nothing to write home about, but a decent birria taco.

Meg · 7.9/10

Meg called this a pork taco.

Jack · 8.1/10

Not bad. Pretty good char. Could have used a more interesting seasoning.

Highlight of the night. Mmmmm, Meg loves chips.

Jack · 7.7/10

Pretty good chips. Guacamole reminded me a little bit of the mashed avocado I make when I'm hungover.

Pinot Gris. Tasted like wine. Yum.
